Wondall Heights State School has a Guidance Officer in the school Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Her name is Miss Sherrin Bell.
The Guidance Officer's role is to enhance the education opportunities for children in the school. This is done by working directly with students and teachers, support personnel, family and other specialists/professionals.
Guidance Officer’s provide psycho-educational assessment, counselling and referral and case management services in schools.
Issues concerning your child can be addressed to the classroom teacher. Referrals are then made by teachers to our Student Wellbeing Action Team (SWAT) with the most appropriate staff member appointed to support the student (eg- the Guidance Officer).
If you would like to speak directly with the Guidance Officer, you can also do this by contacting the office on 3906 6444.
