Welcome to our innovative digital learning program at Wondall Heights State School! We're excited to announce our One-to-One iPad initiative for Year 2 to Year 4 students and Laptop program for Year 5 and 6 students, all provided completely free of charge to parents. With these devices in hand, our students have the world at their fingertips, enabling them to explore, create, and collaborate in dynamic ways.
Through tailored digital resources and interactive learning experiences, we empower our students to thrive in today's digital age while cultivating critical thinking and creativity. Join us as we embark on a journey of educational excellence, equipping our students with the tools they need to succeed both now and in the future.
Our school uses a variety of software tools including Microsoft 365—Teams, OneNote, Word, PowerPoint and Excel—to make learning accessible for every student. Built-in supports such as Immersive Reader, Read Aloud, Dictation, live captions and translation help students access instructions, practise skills and show what they know in different ways (typing, inking, audio or video). Class materials, assignments and feedback are organised in one place, and teachers can personalise tasks to suit individual needs. Windows accessibility settings (Magnifier, Colour Filters, High Contrast and more) are available on school devices.
Book Creator makes classroom tasks feel creative and fun. Students can quickly make comics, photo stories or how-to books using simple drag-and-drop tools, templates and stickers. They mix text with drawings, photos, audio and short videos to show their ideas in their own way. Projects look “real,” which lifts pride and engagement.
