Guidance Officer

Wondall Heights State School has a Guidance Officer in the school Monday, Wednesday and every second Friday. Her name is Kaye Molloy.
The Guidance Officers role is to enhance the education opportunities for children in the school. This is done by working directly with students and teachers, support personnel, family and other specialists/professionals.
Guidance Officer’s provide psycho-educational assessment, counselling and referral and case management services in schools.
Issues concerning your child can be addressed to the classroom teacher. Referrals are made through the Special Needs Committee.
The Guidance Officer can be contacted directly for specific concerns.



Wondall Heights State School Chaplaincy Service


Chappy Edgar is here to provide emotional, social, spiritual and educational support to the school community.
By being a safe person, Chappy Edgar can offer a listening ear, caring presence and encouragement to students, staff and families. This Chaplaincy service also provides a positive adult role model for students whilst in the playground encouraging students to be play fair, inclusive and always with a smile.
Chappy Edgar has worked in various settings pastorally caring for children and youth from many walks of life. He has a passion for creative arts and this is expressed in his programs. With parental consent, students can participate in these programs that are designed to develop social and life skills.
The Chaplain is available Mondays and Thursdays.
