Interschool Sport Term 4
With teacher absences the basketball group will remain at school this week with one more trip to Bayside next week before our Interschool Sport Day on Thursday Week 5. All other sports will continue their trainings on the oval this week, on Friday from 2 – 3pm.
Swimming Term 4
The swimming PE timetable was finalised last week and placed all over our media for communications. It is important that we have parent helpers for every class as ratios for pool lessons dictate this need.
In class and on Assembly, students were reminded of what they will need for their lessons. These items were:
Compulsory: Togs, Sun shirts, Swimming Caps, Towel, Bag for dry and wet gear
Optional: Spare underwear, Goggles, Earplugs/Ear straps.
If you don’t have any of the gear mentioned above now is the time to find it and have it organised for their sessions.
Swim Carnivals
Week 9 Tuesday P-1 9 – 10.50am, Wednesday 2-3 9 – 1pm, Thursday 4-6 9 – 3pm. Parents and past students start sorting your relay teams!
A reminder that this term our Years 3 - 6 students are invited to join this program on Fridays during 2nd lunch, starting this week. For the younger students, Prep—yr 2 will be invited to participate on Mondays 2nd lunch, for weeks 5 - 8. The P – 2 offering is now full and the list of participating students is on the office window. Students can bring their lunch to eat after the session.
ROAR Soccer Programs
The Yr 3-6 Roar program started this week on Tuesday morning at 7:45. It will run for a further 3 weeks and there are a couple of spaces left. Enquire at the office if interested.
These sessions started this Wednesday, October 21 and will run for 6 weeks. There is a cost involved but students receive their sessions and some equipment to keep for the cost. Forms for this program are available from the office.
