Interschool Sport Term 4
So far the feedback from our first full round-robin type Interschool Sports Day has been positive, with competitions running smoothly and students receiving ample game time throughout the day. Students will continue their hour training sessions this week at 2pm. With the training sessions and game time combined, students are currently receiving more game time than previous years.
These sessions will continue through to Week 4 in preparation for our Interschool Sports Day on Thursday November 5. Our basketball group will continue to walk to Brisbane Bayside State College from this Friday through to Week 4 in preparation for their Basketball games. All forms must be returned in order to walk.
Swimming Term 4
The swimming PE timetable is being finalised this week. Students and teachers will be informed shortly of their swim times and this information will be passed on for parent helpers. It is important that we have parent helpers for every class as ratios for pool lessons dictate this need.
On Assembly, students were reminded of what they will need for their lessons. These items were:
Compulsory: Togs, Sun shirts, Swimming Caps), Towel, Bag for dry and wet gear
Optional: Spare underwear, Goggles, Earplugs/Ear straps.
If you don’t have any of the gear mentioned above now is the time to find it and have it organised for their sessions.

This is only open to Years 3 – 6 and forms for this will be available in Week 1 this term. First in best dressed after those pre-requisite details mentioned earlier for both of these programs.
AFL AUSKICK Term 4
These sessions will run Wednesday afternoons from Week 3 October 21 for 6 weeks. There is a cost involved but students receive their sessions and some equipment to keep within the cost. They will be coming to announce the program at Week 2 assembly. Forms for this will be available Week 2 in Term 4.
