STEM Program

15/07/2016
Our four representatives have completed the STEM Program – four days of Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths programs. From reports, our Year Six students really enjoyed the experience! Thanks, Michelle, Jasper, Nick and Nathan for representing Wondall at these events.
“At Griffith University I experienced how to program Lego Mindstorm using Javascript, a coding language. We played soccer with humanoid robots. One was controlled on a laptop by a human. The others were programmed to move using sensors and cameras. The STEM program gave me enjoyment and knowledge.” Jasper.
“This program was extremely interesting! My favourite day by far was the Robotics day at Griffith University, because we were able to completely program robots using Java and other programs.” Nick.
“Every day was fun and interesting. My favourite day was the Robotics day. I learnt how to program robots.” Michelle.
“This was a great experience. I especially enjoyed the robotics, and learning about programming robots. I also liked the forensic science activities.” Nathan.
