NAIDOC Celebrations

NAIDOC Week is celebrated during the second week of the school holidays. The theme for this year is Voice, Treaty, Truth: Let’s Work Together for a Shared Future. NAIDOC Week celebrations are held across Australia to celebrate the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. NAIDOC is celebrated not only in Indigenous communities, but by Australians from all walks of life. The week is a great opportunity to participate in a range of activities and to support your local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community.
Wondall will be celebrating this event on Friday, 19 July. Parents are invited to participate, especially in our Welcome Assembly at 8:50am and our Community Kunjiel at 1:45pm. Please see the invitation elsewhere in this newsletter for further information.
