GRIP Leadership Program

26/04/2016
On Friday the 18th March, our student leadership group attended the GRIP Leadership Program at Chandler along with hundreds of students from schools as far away as the Sunshine Coast and Ipswich.
The GRIP program was an energetic, dynamic program which was divided up into 4 sections where students discussed and participated in activities such as:
How to Grow as a Leader
This presentation presented the view that everyone has the opportunity to lead in different situations and therefore everyone is on the journey of growing as a leader.
Bye Bye Bullying
This practical workshop helps primary student leadership teams to implement a student driven campaign to say 'Bye Bye Bullying', using the process of spotting out, speaking out and stamping out bullying.
People to Influence
This session made student leaders aware that they have the opportunity to positively influence younger students, their peers, teachers and the wider community.
Traffic Light Leadership
Using this analogy, students worked together to create a plan for their own journey as a student leader.
It was a fun, positive, dynamic experience for all the students who attended.
