Chappy Week

News from Chappy Edgar

I have some exciting news! The week of 14-21 May is Chappy Week!
Chappy Week is an annual event run by SU QLD to raise awareness of the valuable work that school chaplains do across Queensland, and to raise funds to support school chaplains. To celebrate, Chappy Edgar is hosting a few events during the week at Wondall.
This year we've officially named it Happy Chappy Week. Throughout the week we will be focusing on being positive and happy. Keep a look out for some smiley faces that will be hung around the school during the week because they'll have some positive messages and tips to be happy.
On Thursday, 19 May there will be a Scavenger Hunt. Teams of up to 5 students will hunt for hidden letters, to uncover a secret message on being positive. Prizes will be awarded to winners. Our Junior Scavenger Hunt will be held during first break on the Junior Oval, and our Senior Scavenger Hunt in second break on the Senior Oval.
Finally, on Friday 20 May there will be Chappy Breakfast.  Students are welcome to 'top up their tummies' with a piece of toast and a glass of cordial.
If you would like to support our Chaplaincy program financially, please send along a coin or two to pop into the money tin. Donations are voluntary and all money collected will go to Wynnum Manly Chaplaincy.  To spread the happiness a Smiley Face Sticker will be available for everyone.
It is definitely going to be a big week! I hope you're excited.
